Multi-fuel and will burn Wood Pellets and Corn
The FORCED-AIR I (ONE) of 70,000 to 107,000 BTU's per hour is one of the few FURNACES now on the market. The Negative Draft Rear Flue Motor Attachment enables it to burn wood pellets. It has Multiple Heat Exchangers in 2 stages. Low heat Auger Motor at 1.3 RPM will produce 70,000 BTU/hr. High heat Auger Motor at 2.0 RPM cost $250 will produce 107,000 BTU/Hr. DUCTWORK take-off at the top is for room-air heat and can hook into your ductwork. It is currently 14"ionround but it can be converted into 14" Square or 12" Round/Square, cost for any one is $350. The multi-fuel capability will allow it to burn corn and burn wood pellets. The Return Air Duct, cost $200 can be routed to the lower rear of the furnace where there is an intake grill and blower fan to suck air into the furnace. Size of the Return-Air Duct is 20" x 14" x6". Dampers fitting inside ducts are available as Options . Large Hopper Bin of 115 lbs. The standard flue exhaust vent is horizontal straight through-the-wall called a Concentric Flue Exhaust/Fresh Air VENT Kit. It blows hot gases outside the inside pipe and sleeves incoming fresh air into the combustion chamber from the outside concentric pipe. The rear-mounted flue exhaust motor creating a negative draft will help eliminate hopper fires and smoke inside the hopper. The option of a HOT-WATER COIL can produce heat for domestic hot-water for bathrooms and kitchens. For other Options see Options paragraph.
We recommend customers maximize the capability of the Forced-Air I (One) that will produce up to 107,000 BTU/Hr. Furnace controls enable an output range of 35,000 to 107,000 BTU/Hr. We recommend customers buy the following Options which are the Hot-Air Discharge Duct $350 + Cold-Air Return duct $200 + High Heat Auger Motor $250 = $800. The total amount for this package is Furnace $3995 + Options $800 = Total $4795 plus Shipping. Call us at 319-298-0500 for an estimate for Shipping and you can make your Order over the phone.

RUN by THERMOSTAT (not mandatory) :
If mounted Side by Side, you can still run the
old existing furnace with a thermostat. The thermostat is set lower, and the
thermostat only turns on the old existing furnace in an emergency when the
house heat drops (and calls for heat). In
a Side by Side configuration, the Forced-Air I (One) should have the dial setting
that will normally heat the whole house 95% of the time, at a temperature
higher than the thermostat setting of the old existing furnace.
If
run in Series with the Forced-Air I (one) mounted in back of the old existing
furnace, you should wire the existing furnace fan with the Forced-Air I (One)
fan, where both come on at the same time.
Or you can just run the existing furnace fan 24 hours. Or you can switch
it on only when needed.
POWER OUTAGE BACKUP MODULE
A Power-Outage Module (1500 watts) is available at $295 to supply 115 VAC to your crucial electrical devices ... a smart item to have as backup in power outages. Use this module for POWER OUTAGES and you can run it from any 12 VOLT BATTERY either a Car battery or a Deep Cycle Battery. It supplies 1500 WATTS of 115 VAC POWER with two outlets and battery cables are supplied. It will will run a variety of devices such as a corn stoves, wood-pellet stoves, furnaces, computers, appliances, lights, power to run appliances in camping, sump pumps. It even has a USB Type A outlet that allows charging of IPOD's, androids, apple, , and Cell Phones. SIZE: 10 inches Wide, 5 inches High, 15 inches Long, WEIGHT: 15 lbs. Another Poer Outage Module is a Continuous Switching model back-and-forth from 115 VAC to 12V and vise versa, cost $495.
WARRANTY
There is a 3 YEAR WARRANTY on the heat exchanger, combustion chamber, fire box, door, etc., and 1 YEAR WARRANTY on electronics. Re-sale by individuals or un-authorized dealers can not offer a valid warranty. Be careful from whom you buy. We are a Dealer specializing in corn stoves and can help you through your installation as well as and trouble shooting if necessary. Be careful as others do not have the capability to do that.
FLOOR LOCATION DUCT LAYOUT & FLUE EXHAUST LAYOUT
There are two alternative layouts: (1) Short Hot-Air duct runs, long Flue Exhaust Pipe runs, and (2) Long Hot-Air Duct runs and short Flue Exhaust Pipe runs. We recommend (1) short Hot-Air Duct runs and long Flue Exhaust Pipe runs. The reason is long Hot-Air Duct runs loose heat and result in a colder house and/or more fuel cost to heat the house. Longer Flue Exhaust runs may need a conversion from 3" to 4" inside diameter flue exhaust pipe. 12 ' (feet) or longer flue exhaust runs should definitely have 4" flue exhaust pipe. Flue Exhaust pipe should be Type L, PL, VP Rated.
BACK-DRAFT DAMPER SUGGESTIONS
If you have two furnaces operating at the same time, both the Forced-Air I (One) and the old furnace will need Back-Draft Dampers installed on each furnace near the duct take-off on each furnace. You need this to prevent reverse air flow when one furnace is running and the other isn't.. (Heated hot air can reverse back flow back through the furnace not running.) We sell Aluminum drop leaves that are light weight, open and close easily, and save on horse power. Beware some contractors make damper leaves out of galvanized steel and and the flaps move harder, robbing your furnace of horse power. Buy the back-draft dampers from us and you will get the right thing. If you are having difficulty making or finding a back-draft damper, then call us.
OPERATING AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
. We recommend you run our Forced-Air I (One) as a primary furnace to achieve your desired temperature and use your old furnace as a backup only if needed. You do that by dialing-down the thermostat to your old furnace about 5 Degrees lower than what you are comfortable with. Your Old furnace should only fire-up when the temperature falls 5 degrees, otherwise it will never run.
Do NOT get rid of your Old Furnace but keep it as an emergency back-up. You could also mount the Forced-Air I (One) into the rear of your existing furnace and run the existing air fan only 24 hours to increase the CFM air output to your heating registers. Use our Forced-Air I (One) as your primary furnace set to produce heat at 5 Degrees higher than your Old Furnace. The Forced-Air I (One} Unit does not need a thermostat to run effectively.
There are two Flue Exhaust Systems that can be used. (1) Concentric Flue Exhaust System that sleeves Fresh Air into the combustion chamber flowing in between the inner and outer pipes (concentric). This is a direct horizontal vent.. .(2) Rear Mounted Negative Flue Exhaust System with one pipe and a rear-wall Fresh Air Kit. We sell either system with the purchase. Note a Fresh Air Intake is necessary and can be used to avoid room air vacuum as well as draw oxygen-rich air in from the outside.
We recommend customers using wood pellets to buy several different brands and test run them. Premium Hardwood pellets with a PFI Certification Seal are recommended. PCI stands for Pellets Certification Institute. You should also experiment with burning a mixture of wood pellets and corn. Corn burns hotter. Burning strait corn should be 12% dry or less normally purchased from a corn-stove friendly farmer who dries his corn below 12% or lower. Crushed Oyster Shell sprinkled in the hopper bin facilitates a cleaner burning and helps avoid any Clinker formation.
