FUEL PRICES
Worried about RISING fuel prices?...well don't worry. Just buy a MULT-FUEL stove, furnace, boiler, or fireplace insert and SWITCH to another (cheaper) fuel such as CORN, WOOD PELLETS or big HARD RED WINTER WHEAT ... or switch grass, or any BIO-MASS fuel of-the-future. The latest prices are posted in bags of sizes 40lb, 50lb, or 55lb where a bushel of corn is 55lb bag. BLUE SEAL STOVE CORN is in 40lb bags. Whole corn at a farm feed dealer is usually bagged in 50 bags. Only elevator grain (corn) is bagged in 55lb bushel bags. WOOD PELLETS come in a smaller bag (40 lb), and they burn less-hot than corn or other bio-mass material.

THERMOSTATIC CONTROLMultifuel Pellet Furnace only:The Thermostat must be installed on an inside wall and located where it is not likely to be affected by the draft coming from an air outlet. It should be set at least 5 Degrees Fahr above your old existing furnace so that the old funace will only serve as a backup and come on only if needed. The themostat will hookup to the multifueled pellet furnace at different locations subject to what type it is either millivolt (dry contact) or 24 VAC. Check your operator's manual for hookup locations.
Combination Multifuel Pellet-Electric: NOTE: If your old existing furnace fuel is more expensive than electric heat, then you may want to use the Electrical Element Option as a backup. Otherwise you may not need the Optional Electric Element as a backup. The Combination model uses two thermostats, one for Multifuel Pellet and a second for Electric Heating Element. Both must be located at the same height from the floor. If the main thermostat (Multifuel Pellet) calls for heat and that demand is not satisfied with the energy supplied by the Multifuel Pellet, then the optional Electrical Heating unit (Electrical Element) will take over and will maintain the home's temperature at the setting programmed on the second thermostat (e.g. the Electric Element option thermostat). Each thermostat hooks up to the furnace central processing unit at a different location, check the Operator's Manual.
POWER OUTAGE BACKUP MODULE
A Power-Outage Module (1000 watts) is available at $179 to supply 115 VAC to your crucial electrical devices ... a smart item to have as backup in power outages. Use this module for POWER OUTAGES and you can run it from any 12 VOLT BATTERY either a Car battery or a Deep Cycle Battery. It supplies 1000 WATTS of 115 VAC POWER with two outlets and battery cables are supplied. It will will run a variety of devices such as a CORN STOVES, WOOD PELLET STOVES , furnaces, computers, appliances, lights, sump pumps. It even has a USB Type A outlet that allows charging of IPOD's, Blackberrys, and Cell Phones. SIZE: 10 inches Wide, 5 inches High, 15 inches Long, WEIGHT: 15 lbs. Larger 1575 Watt POWER priced at $250, still Larger 2500 Watt POWER priced at $350.
WARRANTY There is a LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY on the heat exchanger, combustion chamber, auger, door, etc., and 5 YEAR WARRANTY on stainless steel fire box, heat shields, and ash drawer, 2 Years Warranty on electronics. Labor Warranty cover 1 to 3 years, and the availablity of labor coverage on a warranty is very unusual as most manufacturers don't have it. NOTE that Re-sale by individuals or un-authorized dealers will result in the warranty being invalidated. Be careful from whom you buy. We are a Dealer specializing in corn stoves and can help you through your installation as well as and trouble shooting if necessary. Be careful as others do not have the capability to do that.
DUCTWORK INSTALLATION SUGGESTIONSYou will need Duct Back-Draft Dampers. You will need a back-draft damper installed in BOTH this multi-fuel Furnace and your Old furnace. For your Multi-fuel Furnace we sell a 22" x 22' Back-Damper Frame (see picture) that contains 4 leafs that are gravity-drop. We also sell another set of 4 leafs for your Old Existing Furnace that you can mount just above the furnace in the ductwork. Another option is to have a contractor make one for you. Unless the customer is a technical handyman, he (she) may want to hire a licensed certified HVAC mechanical contractor to install it. You can also hire a sheet metal fabricator to do it. Note: unless you insert back draft dampers for each furnace your system will not work correctly. When one furnace is off, the damper gravity flaps close and prevent back draft from the other existing furnace (when it is running). You can make your own rectangular back-draft damper for both your new and existing furnace out of square aluminum sheet metal flaps that are hinged and drop down with gravity. Do not use gavanized metal for damper blades as it weighs too much. You place this right above the top opening of your existing furnace and when the furnace turns on, the air blows up through the flaps. When the existing furnace shuts off, the gravity flaps fall back down and cover the opening to prevent back draft (from the other furnace). A contractor could also do this for you...it is simple and economical. If you are having difficulty making or finding a back-draft damper, then call us.
OPERATING AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Winning bidders will be immediately mailed our 54 page OWNER'S MANUAL so they may read it and prepare for the future delivery of their Corn furnace (stove). In the Owner's Manual is a step by step instruction for installation of this Multi-fuel Furnace as a Primary Furnace located side by side to your Old Furnace. We recommend you run our Multi-fuel as a primary to achieve your desired temperature and use your old furnace as a backup and dial-down the thermostat to your old furnace about 5 Degrees lower than what you are confortable with. Your Old furnace should only fire-up in an emergence back-up role. Do NOT run off the same thermostat as for one to be a backup for the other, then the thermostats have to be set differently.
Do NOT get rid of your Old Furnace but keep it as an emergency back-up. Use our Mult-fuel Unit as your primary furnace set to produce heat at 5 Degrees higher than your Old Furnace. Do not use one thermostat for both furnaces. The Multi-fuel Pellet unit must have it's own thermostat. Those planning on running the Multifuel Pellet Unit as a standalone, are advised to run it one full year in parallel to there old existing furnace so they can become familiar with the multi-fuel furnace and reduce risks. Customers keeping their old furnace need NOT buy the backup Optional Electric Heating Element if the cost of electric is greater than the cost of the fuel for their old furnace.
Flue Exhaust Vent Kit (not provided) must be purchased and it is available from us. Exhaust Flue Vent Kit can be purchased separately from us at your request and/or check our Ebay Store. Up-The-Basement-Wall Extension of 6 feet with another 90 turn is available. You will need a Fresh Air Intake Kit that can be purchased from us and it be used to avoid room air vacuum and draw oxygen-rich air in from the outside. Inside air is saturated with human-breathed carbon dioxide and your furnace likes oxygen-rich air from the outside. Your multi-fuel furnace will run better with fresh air from the outside.
Crushed Oyster Shell sprinkled in the hopper bin facilitates a cleaner burning of corn and helps avoid any Clinker formation. You can also use pelletized lime instead of crushed oyster shell. The unit is NEW in a box/crated pallet.
